Numerous children and teenagers are being trained in Ho Chi Minh City, and regular coach training sessions are conducted. The excellent response and extremely positive feedback confirm the successful on-site strategy and continuous growth.

With a grand kick-off and a fan party attended by nearly 100 fans for the home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, VfL opened the 2023/24 season in Vietnam last Saturday. In Can Tho, the largest city in the Mekong Delta region and the fourth largest in Vietnam overall, Michael Esser, who was absent due to injury, answered questions from the fans shortly before the start of the game.

The participants of the VfL Football School, in particular, took advantage of this unique opportunity. "We are excited about the tremendous development and opportunities for the participants - this start with so many fans makes us all very proud and shows what we have built over the past two years," said Hoai Anh Nguyen from the local partner VJSS.

For the first time, a coach from the VfL Football School was also present in Vietnam, expanding the local network and conducting numerous coach training sessions and training sessions. The visit to a kindergarten in Ho Chi Minh City concluded the trip.
